Lorry Mounted Loader (HIAB / ATLAS)
Introduction :
This practical course is intended for personnel who are involved in the operation of Lorry Mounted Loaders (HIAB / Atlas)
AIM :
To provide participants with the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to safely operate Lorry Mounted Loaders in a variety of situations.
Objectives :
On completion of the course the operative will be able to understand their responsibility under the:
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- In company codes of practice.
- Identify, describe and explain the principle components of the Loader.
- Understand the stability of the machine.
- Carry out operational checks as recommended by the Loader manufacturers.
- Perform daily maintenance checks per manufacturers recommendations.
- Understand the safe loading and the safe capacity of the Loader.
- Operate with and without Loads.
- Correct slinging.
- Identify fault lifting gears.
Duration:
1/2 Days depending on existing levels of skill and knowledge and what certification is required.
Certification:
ITSSAR Operators/National Plant Operators. In House Certificate if required.
Delegates:
3 (Extra Operators can be added if requirements met).
