C1 C1+E

Cat C1 (7.5 tonne vehicle) follow the same steps as for Cat C.

C1 A vehicle weighing at least 4 tonnes MAM and capable of at least 50mph/80kph

C1+E A combination of a category C1 test vehicle with a trailer weighing at least 2 tonnes MAM and with a combined length of at least 8 metres, capable of 50mph/80kph

After passing your Cat C1 test either you or the DSA examiner will post your licence along with a copy of your pass certificate to the DVLA. When you receive your licence back you will have the provisional entitlement for the C1+E (C1E). You do not have to sit another theory test for the C1+E
